Sihanouk Ville Tour

 

The day starts at 7.30 am with pickup at the hotels.

 

We drive about 45 minutes to Stung Hau Town , a small fishing town situated 23 km north of Sihanouk Ville. The road from Sihanouk Ville is a pleasant trip along the ocean.

 

Stung Hau Town

The daily life of the locals consists of fishing and boatbuilding. There are small local restaurants with lots of fresh fish. Since there are not that many tourists coming here yet, there are no tourist facilities. Stung Hau Town is a perfect place to visit if you want to experience a Cambodian small town. Here we will spend around 30 minutes.

We leave the coast for one hour drive to Kbal Chhay Waterfalls.

Kbal Chhay Waterfalls

Kbal Chhay is a series of waterfalls witch are 3-5 meters high. The water comes from many sources along the mountain range and flows into the Prek Tuk Sap River . During the dry season, November to June, the falls can be a bit dry with not much water but during the wet season, July to October, the falls can be quite powerful. We will stay here for about 1 hour. There are a few drink and food stands available in the area.

The waterfalls end our half day tour. We will back in Sihanouk Ville around 1.30 pm.

The afternoon continues with a BBQ lunch at Hawaii Beach .

BBQ Lunch at Hawaii Beach

Hawaii beach is located west of the downtown area. It is a quiet beach with a fishing camp in the north end. Here we will prepare and cook our lunch together right on the beach. You can choose from a wide range of food such as meat, fish, shrimp and squid, served with salad and rice. We provide you with water, if you want soft drinks or beer there are a couple of drink stands along the beach. Here we will spend about 2 hours and there will be plenty of time for a swim or a walk on the beach.

After the lunch break we will continue with some sightseeing around town.

Snake House

Our first stop will be at the unique venue, the Snake House. It is a restaurant/guesthouse/herpetarium carved into the middle of a lush garden with dozens of terrariums containing rare and poisonous snakes and exotic lizards. They also have aquatic animals, and the most spectacular one is the big sea turtle.

After 30 minutes at the Snake House we will move on to Wat Krom Temple .

Wat Krom

The temple is placed on a small hill overlooking the ocean. Wat Krom is a home for some of the local Buddhist monks. The temple is rather small; therefore we will only spend around 15 minutes here.

On our way to the next stop, which will be the local market Phsar Leu, we will pass by all of the beautiful beaches around Sihanouk Ville. We will show you Independence beach, Sokha beach and Ochheuteal beach.

Phsar Leu

Phsar Leu is the largest local market in town and here you can find everything from fresh meat and vegetables to clothing, auto parts and jewelry. This is the place where the locals make their daily purchases. We will stroll around at the market for about 1 hour.

This leads us to the end of our tour, we only have one last stop and that is Wat Leu Temple .

Wat Leu

The temple is situated on the top of Sihanouk Ville Mountain . The mountain is 132 meters high and offers a spectacular view of the city, the islands and the beaches from Otres all the way to the port. This is a perfect sunset spot. Take a moment and look at the paintings depicting the life of Buddha. We will enjoy the magnificent view of Sihanouk Ville at sunset for about 1 hour and then we will take you back to your hotel around 6 pm.

Half day tour

We need to have a minimum of 2 participants for the trip and the total cost is $ 30/person.
If there are 4 – 6 participants the cost is $ 20/person. Over 7 participants $ 15/person.

We need to have a minimum of 2 participants for the trip and the total cost is $ 55/person.
If there are 4 – 6 participants the cost is $ 40/person. Over 7 participants $ 30/person.
