PADI Rescue Dive Training

PADI Rescue Diver


The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond the purely recreational level as you learn to self rescue and to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other scuba divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence and many say that this is the most fun of all the Padi courses.

What do I need to start?

PADI Open Water Card or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or (or qualifying certification from another organization
Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver)
A current CPR/First Aid Card
within the past 24 months.


Rescue Diver Course

Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the open water sessions, you'll do rescue senarios that deal with these topics:

  • Self-rescue and diver stress
  • dive first aid
  • emergency management and equipment
  • swimming and non-swimming assists
  • panicked diver response
  • underwater problems
  • missing diver procedures
  • surfacing the unconscious diver
  • in water artificial respiration
  • Getting victums out of the water
  • first aid procedures for pressure related accidents
  • Finaly put all of it togther in mock dive accident scenarios

    This program results in a PADI Rescue Diver Certification Card that will allow you to dive with more confidence and the knowledge and skills to help divers that are in trouble and is a step towards a PADI Divemaster ranking or PADI instructor many people take this two day course as a liveaboard when they are challenged for time or money and want to get both a liveaboard and a certification. Once you have the certification you can continue on to become a PADI DiveMaster With any PADI Instructor any where in the world so if you are traveling during your gap year.
