PADI Open Water Scuba Dive Training FAQ.

 

There are two basic courses PADI Open Water and PADI Scuba Diver The most popular way is to do the 4 day Open Water course which when you complete the course you will receive the PADI Open Water Scuba Diver Card which is recognized the world over. EcoSea Dive is committed to giving you the least expensive and most comprehensive dive classes that we can, for this reason we keep the classes small to make sure that you get lots of personal attention. . FAQ PADI Open Water Training

What is the classroom and pool fee? The total fee is only $199, which includes instruction, pool fees, and use of PADI student materials. We have quality Rental Equipment as well as New equipment that you can purchase.  Ask About our Scuba Diving Gear Specials with all PADI Dive Courses.

How many people are in each class? Classes are small, limited to 4 students per Instructor to assure personal attention and fun while learning.

Can I have a Private Lesson? YES we charge $250 for private Scuba Diving Lessons for the first person then $225 for additionals.

What equipment do I need? You will need a swimsuit and towel.

Is there an age restriction? You must be at least 15 years old to receive PADI Open Water Diver certification. Those 10 to 14 may take the course and receive a PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification. Once certified, 10 and 11 year olds must dive with a parent, guardian or PADI Professional. PADI Junior Open Water divers age 12 and up must dive with a certified diver until their 15th birthday.

Do I have to be a strong swimmer? No, you need only to be comfortable in the water and capable of swimming continuously for two hundred yards, and floating for 10 min. We have taught many to swim so don't let this stop you if you are really keen to scuba dive. We can also teach you the PADI Skin Diver Program which will improve your confidence in the water

What do I need to do ? You need to view the PADI DVDs, read the PADI textbook (260 pages) and complete knowledge reviews at the end of each module. You also need to complete a PADI Student Record File (which includes a Medical Statement). Certain existing medical conditions will require a signed physicians approval before your first pool session. If you answer yes to any of the medical history questions, please print a copy to take to your physician for their approval and signature.

Where are the classes held? the classroom portion is in our dive store., The pool sessions are held at the Golden Sands Hotel.or The Sohka Beach Resort all of the Open Water are boat dives.

. Are private lessons available? Yes, we can organize private lessons for an individual or a group. The private lesson fee is $225 for the first person, $199 for each additional person.

Fee and cancellation policy. The course fee is due at the start of the classes. Due to PADI Instructor-to-Student ratios, 10 and 11 year olds must be private Open Water Dives. Your training will consist of four dives completed over a two day period, Should you need to cancel do to illness or circumstances beyond your control we will refund your money on a prorated basis We allways lean in the customers favor. Open water training may be completed with another PADI training facility or PADI instructor. We can provide you with a list of PADI training facilities worldwide. . The fee includes instruction, certification fees, and PADI logbook.

What certification will I receive? Upon completion of PADI Open Water training dives with EcoSea Dive Cambodia you will receive the PADI Open Water certification or Junior Open Water if under age 15. This PADI certification card

allows you and a certified buddy to dive anywhere in the world.
