PADI DiveMaster Training in Malaysia
Quiver Dive team located in the beautifulPerhentian islands in Malaysia is committed to providing a quality PADI DiveMaster course following all of the recommendations from PADI to ensure that you will be a safe and effective PADI divemaster after your PADI Divemaster Internship.
Before you start your Malaysian divemaster training you will need to show proof of your PADI Open water Card or equivalent your PADI Advanced Open water Card or equivalent your PADI rescue Diver card or equivalent you will also need a current Emergency First Responder Card or equivalent First Aid and CPR from with in the last 24 months. You will also need a PADI DiveMaster medical form completed as well. By the end of the DM training to be certified you will also need to have completed 60 dives and paid all fees.
How does a typical internship work.
You'll complete three phases in the PADI Divemaster program:
1. Waterman ship and skills assessment
2. Knowledge Development
- Waterman ship and stamina
- General diving skills
- Diving physics
- Diving physiology
- Diving skills and environment
- Supervising students in training
- Dive management and control
- Dive planning
- Emergency assistance plan for Diving emergencies in the local area
- Mapping a local open water site
3. Practical Application This involves training activities using various structured training sessions, simulated scenarios and internship sessions with actual PADI programs. These training sessions enable you to gain practical experience as an instructional assistant and a supervisor of open water diving activities, both as a coordinator and as an underwater guide.
You have 8 knowledge tests that you need to pass This will be the first priority that you will be working on as well as building you stamina for the water skills and swim tests . You will also start right away when you are on the boat with the skill circuit which comprises 18 skills many times we will do this at the end of dives, after we have put the customers on the boat. You must demonstrate these 18 skills to your Instructor at demonstration quality. On the mask removal replacement and clearing you will do a demonstration for your instructor. You will then give the briefing and demonstrate this skill many times during the internship to customers, under your instructors direct supervision.
You will be doing allot more as well. You will be hands on setting up the trip, getting the customers ready for the boat, safety briefings, boat skills, working with instructors training classes, surface watch, you will work with snorkels, everyday will be different and everyday you will learn new skills and meet new friends.
