Kuala Lumpur Cheap Flights to Sipadan
Finding a cheap flight from KL Kuala Lumpur to Sipadan Sabah is real easy there is really only one choice Air Asia but as has ben stated on this site before there is a price to pay and that is that you have to get upp at ridulous times to geto tot hte KL airport in order to make a 7:20 flight. also as it is so early the taxis are very reluctant to take you at the meter price and willl ask twice as much as it would cost on the meter. The other problem is that you are going to the Kuala Lumpur LCCT Low cost carrier Terminal which is 20 kilometers further than the main KL airportSomethingvery important to remeber to double check your ticket as you will miss your flight if you go to the worng airport in Kuala Lumpur.
The 2nd largest problem with Air Asia is the luggage allowance they only allow you 15 kilos and then 7 kilos in the carry on bag. alot of people are going scuba diving in Sipadan and dive equipment is heavy you would think that they would cut some slack if you have dive gear going to Sabah Tawuu Sipadan.
Scuba Diving in Sipadan I recomend that you check out scuba junkies they have lots of staff and take real good care of you.
In Kuala Lumpur the 2 best areas to look for KL cheap hotels are the districts of Bukit Bintang and China Town. There are another areas to find cheap hotels in Kuala Lumpur but these two areas offer you the best value and put you right in the thick of the city. KL Cheap hotels are a little expensive here expect for a cheap room to pay between 60 RM to over 100 RM. The best deal that I saw was the Emerald Hotel at 70 rm a night hard to get there rooms though as they fill all the time which is a good indicator of the value.
The Emerald Hotel is at the end of Bukit Bintang which is convenient to the bus station as well as China town The Bukit Bintang area is reality small only maybe 4 blocks square but there is allot of shopping and restaurants in several malls. The Emerald hotel has around 100 rooms in 3 price ranges depending on the number of people that can sleep in a room all rooms have windows and en suite, color tv, air con and hot water. The exterior isn't much but the rooms have all had a recent face lift so are in good cognation. This hotel is listed at having a lower rate these all reflect the pre renovation prices.
The Dragon Inn in China Town is another hotel to consider for a cheap hotel located very close to the bus station they mostly have transit customers The rooms are small but if you are just looking for a Cheap accommodation this would be a good choice as they have allot of rooms that are clean with air con hot water with small bathrooms. there is a little confusion wroth red dragon which is a very large hostel see here for more info on the Red Dragon Inn
